Opportunità di collaborazione sulla nautica saranno costruite nei prossimi mesi tra Livorno e Malta, in un ponte gettato idealmente tra due porti del Mediterraneo vocati all’accoglienza e al turismo.
E’ emerso durante gli incontri effettuati all’interno del meeting del 15 e 16 dicembre del progetto Erasmus+ MaQuaM - “International Qualification on Marine and Tourism for the Mediterranean harbours”, di cui è capofila Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo. Grazie alla collaborazione nel settore avviata con il consorzio Navigo di Viareggio e con il Comune di Livorno sara’ possibile lavorare a progetti comuni con Mediterranean Tourism Foundation a Malta per innovare ambiti come la formazione e il lavoro, con ricadute sul territorio toscano costiero e l’economia regionale.
Agli incontri con esponenti della nautica e del turismo maltesi – come la Fondazione per i transporti, Deloitte Services di Malta, la Direzione Porti e Yachting del governo maltese – promossi da Mediterranean Tourism Foundation col suo direttore Andrew Muscat hanno partecipato Paolo Nanni, amministratore unico di Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo, Gianfranco Simoncini, assessore al lavoro e formazione del Comune di Livorno e Pietro Angelini, direttore generale di Navigo Viareggio.
“Da molti anni lavoriamo a progetti sulla formazione nella nautica per definire profili professionali e competenze che siano espressione dei bisogni del mondo del lavoro, e di imprese come le realtà di eccellenza che operano sulla costa toscana, a Viareggio e Livorno – ha affermato Nanni – il progetto MaQuaM ci consente di rafforzare rapporti con partner internazionali e affrontare un settore di rilevanza globale, molto forte proprio nel Mediterraneo”.
“Livorno e’ una capitale della nautica grazie alla presenza di Azimut Benetti - ha detto Simoncini – come Comune vogliamo creare partnership nel settore, in cui le migliori pratiche diventino la base per una crescita nel tempo. L’osservatorio della nautica è già un progetto pilota per la regione, costuire rapporti con progetti come questi ci sarà utile per ampliare la nostra rete”.
“Malta e’ una realtà guida per la sua visione del futuro – ha aggiunto Angelini - perchè si appresta a far fronte alle nuove esigenze del settore yachting, in cui il cliente cerca da una parte esperienze emozionanti per rendere unico il suo soggiorno, dall’altra un sistema di professionalità diverse, che dovranno essere opportunamente preparate, con caratteristiche simili nei diversi porti e paesi”.
“MTF promuove il turismo per dare pace e stabilità nel Mediterraneo - ha detto Muscat – per questo ci accomuna ai nostri partner una visione del turismo in senso ampio, che abbraccia sia lo yachting che i servizi ricreativi, sia l’economia blu che la sostenibilita’. In questi ambiti possiamo lavorare insieme a progetti comuni”.

NEW COOPERATIONS ON BOATING BETWEEN LIVORNO AND MALTA THANKS TO ERASMUS+

Opportunities of cooperation on boating will be built in the next months between Livorno and Malta, as one symbolic bridge thrown between the two ports of the Mediterranean, both aimed at welcoming people and tourism. This was emerged during the partners’ meeting of the project Erasmus+ “MaQuaM - “International Qualification on Marine and Tourism for the Mediterranean harbours”, coordinated by Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo in Malta, on 15th and 16th December. Thanks to the cooperation on boating and tourism among the Navigo consortium in Viareggio, Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo and the Livorno Municipality, it will be possible to work together on jointed initiatives with the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation in Malta, aimed at innovating training and employment sectors, which can impact on the Tuscany coast development and on the sea economy. Representatives from the Malta Foundation for transport, Deloitte Services Malta and the Port and Yachting Direction of the Malta Government, promoted by MTF, participated to the meetings with the Italian stakeholders Paolo Nanni (Provincia di Livorno Sviluppo), Pietro Angelini (Navigo) and Gianfranco Simoncini (Livorno Municipality).

«We have been working for many years on projects on boating and tourism to define professional paths and skills to meet the companies’ needs in the field, following the excellences set up on the Tuscan coast in Viareggio and Livorno – said Nanni – the “MaQuaM” project now allows us to reinforce the relationships with international partners, facing a global relevance sector, with great importance on the Mediterranean».

«Livorno is a boating capital thanks to companies such as Azimut Benetti – explained Simoncini – the Municipality is creating partnerships in this field, in order to make good practices become the basis for a growth over the time. The boating obervatory is already a piloting project for the region, so building relationships through projects like this will be useful to widen our network».

«Malta is a leading partner for its vision of the future – added Angelini – because it is facing the new needs of the yachting sector, in which the customer is looking for emotional experiences to have and unforgettable stay but also a system of different professionals, properly trained, with similar features in different ports and countries».

«MTF promotes the tourism to bring peace and stability in the Mediterranean – asserted Muscat – therefore with our partners we share a vision on tourism in the widest meaning, which includes both the yachting and the leisure services, the blue economy and the sustainability. In these sectors we can work together on common projects».
